I always think about how kids can seem to have fun wherever they are…making new friends and finding ways to stay amused. For me, I ache for that type of feeling at home on the mainland, but when I am in Hawaii, I somehow find the le’ale’a (pronounced: leh-ahleh-ah) the minute I step foot on the island.
