Hawaiian Word of the Week: Ho'omau

Welcome to 2022—another year that’s sure to be filled with surprises. I really appreciate that you have stuck by me through the last couple of years that have been filled with as many highs and lows as Waimea Canyon.

I’m looking forward to bringing as much as aloha as I can to this world. There are too many times when what we need more than anything is to take a breath and let the memory of a tranquil tropical vacation soothe our soul. If I can bring that to you while lifting up some of the small businesses of Hawaii, then it is a win for everybody.

For the company’s word of the year, I have chosen ho’omau [hoh-oh-mow] which means to persist and never give up. I continue to be lifted up by the encouragement of the She Lives Aloha community and your willingness to help me continue to grow and nurture this business.
