Hawaiian Word of the Week: Imua

I’m sure we never thought life was easy before 2020. Post-2020, I find that even some of the simple things we used to do are just harder and require more hoops to jump through. It is easy to lose a bit of that aloha spirit when you feel like the universe keeps throwing challenges your way.

Take time to reflect on today’s Hawaiian word of the day: imua [ee-moo-ah]. Imua is to move forward toward a goal. To be resolute in what you take on. Right now I am very dedicated to making sure that we offer our Lives Aloha ohana a fantastic holiday offering. LIke everyone else, we are experiencing delays that are beyond our control. What I can control is how well I communicate with customers and make some contingency plans.
