Hawaiian Word of the Week: Hiki

Hiki.jpg

This week, we’re bringing back the Hawaiian word hiki [hee-kee], meaning “to be able to” or “accomplish a goal.”

Anyone else a perfectionist? Even though I know that I’ll never score an A+ in everything, it doesn’t stop me from trying. Sometimes I need a reminder to celebrate my small wins and everyday accomplishments. Like, getting dinner on the table. So let this post be a little reminder to step back and recognize what you are able to get done and know that everything will be just fine.
