Hawaiian Word of the Week: Ho'omaha
/As the end of the year approaches, let’s not forget to put our health and rest first. Yes, it’s typically the busiest time of year. So many traditions to uphold, lists to check and gifts to give. But we need to normalize rest. What I’ve learned this year, shortly after my son was born, is to allow my body the rest that it needs to recover and recharge. For the first time in my life, I surrendered to the moment and saw the everyday miracles before me. Likewise, this season, give yourself permission to slow your roll. Take a break or ho’omaha [ho’oh mah-hah] in Hawaiian.
