We Live Aloha

Welcome to the ohana. It was co-founder Lori Shen’s art that inspired me to start thinking about how we start “living aloha everyday.”  Why should paradise only last for a few days? We hope that we can inspire you to take some time to bring that aloha spirit into your everyday chaos, plus provide a place for you to find insider tips for the best the Hawaiian islands have to offer.

Like any new business, we are taking small steps each month to bring our vision into reality. You can keep track of our progress through our newsletter or Facebook group. Those in the ohana will be the first to be showered with aloha. Every week we will be featuring a Hawaiian word to increase your vocabulary beyond mahalo and luau.

What says Hawaii to you? How do you know you’ve arrived? For me, it is when we drive through the Tree Tunnel on our way to Poipu on the island of Kauai. The moment we are under that shady canopy I feel the weight of the world lift away and quickly start scanning the horizon for those first glimpses of sand and surf. I roll the windows down and smell the sea air. Even if the trip is only four days, I know that at the end of it I will be more at peace and ready to tackle life on the mainland again.

We’re happy you are here.

Aloha.

My happy place. The Sheraton Poipu Beach where I wed the love of my life.
