Hawaiian Word of the Week: Mahalo
If you have been to Hawaii, you have heard the word “mahalo” (pronounced: mah-hal-loh) before. With this being the week of the Thanksgiving holiday in the US, it is only appropriate to bring back this word because for us at She Lives Aloha, it means everything.
Mahalo means thankful, gratitude. I have so much mahalo for my family and friends and for all of you who support me: those who come on this journey with me every week to learn the Hawaiian language, those who have supported us through our social media accounts, those who have made a purchase from our store….MAHALO!
What do you feel mahalo for this holiday season?
From all of us at She Lives Aloha, we wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!
